Our goal is to create a welcoming presence in public sites throughout Pittsfield, Massachusetts with colorful plantings of flowers and ornamental shrubs.

Founded in 1989 by Arlia “Tommie” Bailey, Pittsfield Beautiful Inc is a non-profit organization supported entirely by donations and volunteers.

Our volunteers maintain nearly 19 perennial public gardens and 100 planters filled with eye-catching arrangements in the downtown area and surrounding neighborhoods.

We work closely with the City of Pittsfield to encourage beautification efforts that arise from partnerships between local residents, neighborhoods, community support groups, businesses, and the City.
